Askos, Sochos : ウィキペディア英語版
Askos, Sochos
:''Not to be confused with askos (pottery vessel), a kind of pottery vessel.''
Askos ((ギリシア語:Ασκός)) is a small mountain village in northern Greece, part of the municipality Lagkadas. It is located approximately 60 kilometers from Thessaloniki.
The village is also known for the carnival of Sochos that is organized every year to advertise the wines and cheese that it produces.
There is also the historical mountain Tempelis in Askos.
The football team of Askos is Makedonikos and its colours are green and white. Makedonikos is a team with a huge tradition and a big fanbase.
One of the most talented players in the history of Makedonikos is Balantis Kourouklidis. Some years ago he even played in a german soccer league team in Hannover. In those days his name "White Ronaldinho" was created by the local press. Hannover is still talking of his unincredible talent espacially in scoring and leading his team.
Right know Balantis is living in Hannover again. He joins his former team, SV Iraklis Hellas.
